Cafecito

Influenced by the musical styles of the great Cuban charanga bands Cafecito play a lively pre-salsa style of music still heard on the streets of old Havana today — the music of the orquesta francesa - cha cha chás, danzones and boleros plus some Latin jazz.

Their repertoire includes new arrangements of Cuban classics such as Frenesí, new takes on standards as diverse as John Coltrane's Giant Steps, Sidney Bechet's Petite Fleur and the Brazilian bossa nova Recado.

Perfect for pre-dinner drinks receptions, weddings, garden parties, corporate events and Cuban and Latin American themed evenings - and of course it's very danceable!

The six piece line-up is flute/alto sax/vocals, piano/vocals, congas, timbales/vocals, bongos/guïro/maracas/vocals and double bass.

The band can be augmented with a three piece string section.
